The Mind Journalist of the Year award celebrates excellence in reporting mental health issues in the national, local, and consumer press.
Have you made a stand on mental health this year, or do you have a writer on your staff who has written sensitively and informatively on mental distress? If so, nominate them for a chance of being Mind Journalist of the Year 2009.
Mind is keen to see nominations of articles that deal with the experience of mental distress in its widest interpretation and create a greater awareness of mental health issues among the public. The judges will be looking for articles that present positive images of mental health, challenge discrimination, examine mental health in its wider political context or explore new angles.
The judges are happy to consider individual pieces or a series of articles. Please send copies of the article/s you would like to enter, either as a photocopy or original pages, or, ideally by email as a PDF file of the original pages. We cannot accept text or Word files as entries. Please ensure that photocopies are clear and sharp as they will need to be photocopied again.
Nominations close on Monday 23 March. To be eligible, articles should have been published in England and/or Wales between 22 March 2008 and 20 March 2009.
